# HSA contribution limits by year: 2025–2027

Every HSA and HDHP amount we have verified, year by year, with what changed between them.

| Tax year | Self-only | Family | Age 55+ | HDHP minimum deductible (self / family) | Contribute until |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2027 | $4,500 | $9,000 | $1,000 | $1,750 / $3,500 | Tuesday, April 18, 2028 |
| 2026 | $4,400 | $8,750 | $1,000 | $1,700 / $3,400 | Thursday, April 15, 2027 |
| 2025 | $4,300 | $8,550 | $1,000 | $1,650 / $3,300 | Wednesday, April 15, 2026 |

2024 and earlier are not published here: the registry row that would carry the 2022, 2023 and 2024 amounts is still marked unverified, and a figure goes on a tax page only after it has been read off the revenue procedure that set it.

The base limits and the HDHP minimums are re-set for inflation every year under IRC §223(g). The $1,000 catch-up is written into IRC §223(b)(3) and is not indexed, which is why it has not moved.
