# 2027 HSA contribution limits: $4,500 / $9,000

The 2027 HSA and HDHP amounts, and the prorated contribution limit for every count of eligible months from 1 to 12.

For the 2027 tax year the HSA contribution limit is $4,500 with self-only HDHP coverage and $9,000 with family coverage; anyone aged 55 or over at the end of the year may add $1,000 to their own HSA. A 2027 HDHP needs a deductible of at least $1,750 (self-only) or $3,500 (family), with annual out-of-pocket no more than $8,700 or $17,400. Contributions for 2027 may be made until Tuesday, April 18, 2028.
